Hi,
Thank you all for joining us on our journey.
We are super excited to get started on some tastings and reviews for you all (definitely not just excited to get to drink the wines…). We are currently working on two reviews, but thought that first we better tell you about how we will be judging and rating each of the wines we try.
For each wine we try, we will tell you about these things:
- The name and variety of the wine (obviously )
- The price and where we purchased it from
- The appearance of the wine
- We will be making note of the colour as well as the intensity of the wine.
- The aroma
- We will talk about the intensity of the aroma and what aromas we are picking up
- The taste of the wine
- As with the aroma we will be discussing the intensity and the flavour profile
- We will also discuss the characteristics of the wine such as : acidity, sweetness, alcohol, tannin, body, and finish.
After discussing these features of the wines we will judge the wines overall and give you our honest opinions. As we are putting an emphasis on budget friendly options we will also weigh up the value for money.
We will also have a table of rankings for all the wines on our home page that we will update for you each week.
All of our posts will contain plenty of photos so you don’t get overwhelmed with all the text.
Please recommend wines that you would like us to try in the comment section and we will do our best to get ahold of them 😁
As well as that we will occasionally be doing reviews of tastings, books, films, food pairings and even beer. So don’t be afraid to comment or drop us an email if there is anything you want us to do. We want this blog to be as interactive as possible to give everyone a say.
Whats to come next
Our next two blogs will be on Longridge Sauvignon Blanc and Chasseur Classic Red Wine , Yes we are starting off with goon bags as they are a student classic, but don’t unsubscribe from our page just yet … we do know what were talking about and will explore some nicer wines in the future we promise. 😌 Plus we are trying to get special permission from our uni to let us have glass bottles in our flat.

In the meantime, check out our Welcome Post if you haven’t already and follow our Instagram and Facebook!!
Thats all from us for now! We will be getting you some proper content ASAP so keep your eyes peeled !!
Have a great day !!
Saskia and Didier 🥂

Once you have a bit of dosh (and don’t look at me) it might be an idea to review the Highfield Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. It used to be my favourite when we frequented those shores.
We will definitely add this to our list 🙂
